My name is Dane Noonan and I am a self taught artist who has been living in Oxford for the past 15 years.

Painting and art in general has always been my passion but until the pandemic it had always resided in the background. It was not a practical reality that could ever come to any real fruition, and then the whole world shuts down. So I started painting, for hours on end, day after day, month after month. And slowly I started to get better, started learning to ‘see’ spacial relationships, and the colors and lines that make up what we see every day. All that practice has led to this, my very first hanging in a public space, and this is only the beginning. So please take a look at my other pages to see my other works.

One of my more popular pieces. This is a photo from my friends farm. I attempted to keep as many of the brushstrokes as possible. Keeping things loose is always an exercise for me.

This would count as my 3rd oil painting. I fought against going into further detail on the fish and green coral while bringing the central coral forward with contrasting detail. I liked this method and was happy with how it pulled the viewers eye around the canvas
